3D-Screens

How 3D-moving image works without glasses. People see objects from two different angles because the view is minimal different for each eye. This is due to the small distance between the eyes. To see spatially the eyes need to be shown two images from two different perspectives. The human brain releases two images into a spatial picture together. The human brain puts together two images into a spatial picture. In cinemas this 3D effect is generated by a 3D glasses. We achieve the same result by a complex combination of hardware and software. With our 3D screens an uncomfortable 3D glasses are now no longer required. One of the most important components for a 3D experience is our autostereoscopic multi-view display with a special lenticular-filter. Due to the filter the pixels of an image are transmitted according to their wavelength in different directions in front of the screen.

Viewing angle dependent the filter allows you to see the different colored pixels from different spatial positions in front of the screen.

Our glasses-free 3D screen shows even more than the required minimum of 2 perspectives: the video format used by us sends image content consisting of eight different sides slightly offset camera views of the displayed objects. This makes it possible to flexibly change the location in front of the 3D screen and still clearly see the 3D effect. With our technology it is possible that many views are able to see the 3D content at the same time without the need of glasses.
